EP. 270: Killing Next Year’s Buck w/ This Year’s Sheds

Today on the podcast I’m joined by my buddy Troy Pottenger. As a reminder, Troy is hunting some of the hardest to kill whitetails in the mountains of Idaho. He’s not the only predator in the mountains, where deer are more often hunting by mountain lions, wolves and Grizzly. Few mistakes can be made, and Troy has to really be dialed in. What’s more, he usually is hunting a specific buck. Hard enough to accomplish in the best of circumstances. For Troy, shed hunting isn’t just something to do to pass the time during winter and spring. It’s a key puzzle piece to determine when and where he may kill his next wall hanger. Hope you dig the chat as much as I did – thanks for listening!
